TikTok star Emilie Kiser says she ‘takes full accountability’ after young son’s tragic death

Emilie Kiser, a well-known TikTok influencer, has recently faced immense heartbreak following the tragic death of her three-year-old son, Trigg, who drowned in the family pool at their Arizona residence in May 2025. In an emotional and heartfelt statement, Emilie expressed that the grief from this loss is “impossible to put into words,” sharing her profound regret over the incident while acknowledging that a permanent pool fence could have potentially saved her son’s life.

Details of the Incident

On May 12, 2025, Trigg drowned in the family pool while engaging in playtime in their backyard. Surveillance footage captured the moment when Trigg, distracted by an inflatable chair, accidentally fell into the pool. At the time of the incident, Emilie was not at home. Instead, Trigg’s father, Brady, was taking care of both Trigg and their newborn son, but was momentarily distracted inside the house when the drowning occurred. Despite the immediate response from first responders, who administered CPR, Trigg remained on life support for six agonizing days before tragically passing away on May 18.

Family and Legal Matters

In the aftermath of the devastating incident, the Chandler Police department recommended a Class 4 felony charge of child abuse against Brady Kiser. However, following an investigation, prosecutors chose not to pursue charges due to a lack of sufficient evidence for a conviction. Amid the ongoing grief, Emilie is currently taking steps to block the release of investigative records associated with Trigg’s death, striving to maintain privacy for her family during this difficult time.

Moving Forward

In her public messages on social media, Emilie expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, and dedicated followers for the overwhelming support they have provided her through this challenging ordeal. She also conveyed her determination to implement stricter boundaries regarding her online presence, with the intention of safeguarding her family’s privacy. Reflecting on her grieving process, Emilie shared that “the only way through grief is to keep going minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.” The tragic drowning serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers pools can pose, particularly in Arizona, where accidental drownings rank among the leading causes of death for children under five years old.

As Emilie navigates her journey through grief, she hopes that her story raises awareness about pool safety and encourages other parents to take necessary precautions, ensuring that no family has to endure such a heart-wrenching loss.
